💰 Compensation: Dependent on experience

The School Programs and Day Camp Coordinator is a creative, organized, and passionate educator who designs and delivers engaging programs that connect curriculum, play, and wonder. This role is the primary driver of Nutrien Wonderhub’s school field trip programming, school-related Access and Inclusion initiatives, and day camp experiences for children ages five and up. The Coordinator also supports the ongoing development of exhibits and exhibit-based programming as part of the larger Education and Exhibits team. This is a dynamic, hands-on position suited to someone who thrives working with children of all ages and abilities, and who is energized by both the spontaneity of live programming and the detail of program planning, coordination, and evaluation.

🔍 Field Trip Programs: Serve as the lead for all field trip programs.

🎉Day Camps: Coordinate Wonderhub’s day camp program for children ages five and up.

📋Museum Exhibits and Programs: Collaborate with the Education and Exhibits team to create programming that deepens visitor engagement with exhibits.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Early Childhood Education (ECE) Level 3 certification, or a Bachelor of Education with a focus on elementary education, child development, social work, or a related field.
• Minimum two years of experience in a related position, including facilitating programs for children aged 5 to 10 in a formal or informal education setting (e.g. school, museum, camp, recreation centre, etc.).
• A relevant combination of education and experience may be considered.
• Experience working with young children with diverse abilities, including those with physical, cognitive, sensory, or behavioural needs.
• Previous supervisory or team leadership experience is an asset.
• Experience designing school programs with curriculum-linked or inquiry-based education programs is an asset.
• Passion for young children, learning, community engagement, and making a positive social impact.
• Knowledge and experience with play-based learning.
• Dynamic teaching, facilitation, and classroom management skills.

Other Considerations:

• A satisfactory Criminal Record Check including Vulnerable Sector Check required upon offer of employment.
• Availability to work some evenings and weekends as required by program schedules.
• Standard First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain prior to start).
• Valid driver’s license is an asset.
