Do you have a love of stitching & sewing and are looking to put your skills to use? Nutrien Wonderhub is seeking Stitching & Sewing Volunteers to join our team to help ensure that our costumes, stuffed animals and other fabric props are in good condition and allow children and families to have memorable experiences at Wonderhub.

🚀Position: Stitching & Sewing Volunteer

🏫 Location: Work from your own home, or at Nutrien Wonderhub, Saskatoon, SK

💰 Compensation: Volunteer position

Stitching & Sewing volunteers work closely with a team of staff and volunteers in Saskatchewan’s only children’s museum on maintaining our fabric props and items to help ensure memorable experiences. Supported by the Visitor Experience and Education teams the Stitching & Sewing Volunteers work to mend or repair fabric items that are a part of the museums exhibits. Here is what you will be doing:

🔍 Costume, Stuffed Animals and Fabric prop maintenance: Work independently to repair or mend fabric items that require repair.

🎉Fabric Prop Evaluation: Debrief with staff and provide input on fabric prop maintenance.

💫 Other Responsibilities: Uphold our mission, vision, and values while creating a welcoming, fun, and enriching environment.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Experience working directly with textiles and maintenance of fabrics.
• Intermediate stitching skills.
• Access to own sewing machine / repair tools is an asset.

Other Considerations:

• Criminal Record Check required.
• Wonderhub will provide reimbursement for materials used for repairs and maintenance based on internal procedures.
