Creative Science – Light & Shadow

It’s almost Groundhog Day! With our Light & Science Program, the groundhog won’t be the only one looking for his shadow. Light & Shadow is the second Creative Science Program at Nutrien Wonderhub, and participants will explore what happens to light when objects get in the way. They will engage with our Exploration Station and play with different light sources, play with shadow puppets, and learn about the science behind shadows. Together, we will explore what happens to our planet when shadows come out to play. At our Creation Station, participants will create a Giacometti Sculpture out of tin foil and add his shadow using light and charcoal that they will be able to take home at the end of this 2 hour session.
