Snack, Snooze & Skedaddle is a single day camp explores how animals react when winter arrives and whether they hibernate, migrate or adapt to survive the cold. Participants will test out different ways that animals stay warm during the winter months using their special adaptations. We will read stories about mythical snow animals and spend part of the day creating our own snow animal stories and unique ways to tell these stories.

Campers will need to dress for the weather. We will be spending 30-45 minutes in the outdoors on the trails around Wonderhub. The weather will determine the length of our Nature Walk.

Campers will need to bring a packed lunch and snacks each day. Hot chocolate and marshmallows will be provided after the nature walk.

February Wonder Camps are in, once school is out! During February break, Wonderhub is offering 8-hour Day Camps for children 8-12 years of age that focus on the science, art and stories of the season. Along with our amazing facilitators, the campers will have the opportunity to explore inside the museum and venture outside for a nature walk to gain inspiration from the trails around the museum. Campers will learn about their winter environment through hands-on learning activities and engaging stories from local Canadian authors. At the end of each of the camps, campers will leave with a story they have created, an art piece and the desire to learn more about the cool world around them. Participants can drop in for just one day, or join us to explore, play and wonder all week long by signing up for all four events.
