IMMUNOCOMPROMISED & LOW SENSORY SESSION – 2:30 PM TO 4:30 PM

Join us on Wednesday, December 18, for a festive, fun-filled holiday event that’s perfect for children under the age of 10! This ticketed event will offer a magical experience with a variety of activities, including:

🎨 Crafts in Create Space
🍪 Special holiday treats, including allergy friendly options
📖 Festive holiday stories
🎅 A chance to meet Santa Claus in person
📸 A keepsake photo with Santa

At Nutrien Wonderhub, we recognize that there are some individuals in our community who are immunocompromised. We also recognize that our environment can be a bit overstimulating for some individuals. By providing a special event for these families with elevated cleaning, reduced capacity, lower lighting, and reduced ambient noise, we can offer an experience for these families where they get to fully enjoy the fun of Wonderhub.

For this event, we will follow the following protocols:

  • All adult guests and staff are required to wear a mask, including Santa!
  • All children over the age of 6 are required to wear a mask. Children under the age of 6 are strongly encouraged to wear a mask if they are able. We understand that masking can be more challenging for younger guests or those with additional needs.
  • No guests or staff should attend if feeling unwell or experiencing any symptoms of illness.
  • We will increase our already stringent cleaning protocols for this event.
  • Additional hand sanitizer will be available on site.
  • We have reduced this event to half-capacity. No additional tickets will be sold once we reach capacity.
  • We will be staggering visits with Santa by group to avoid crowding and excessive noise.
  • Treat bags will be offered for holiday treats to be enjoyed at home rather than during the event.
  • Lights will be lowered.
  • No music or background sounds will be played.
  • Sound levels on our sound making exhibits will be lowered, as possible.
  • As always, sensory bags including noise cancelling headphones are available to borrow at our front desk.
