Wonderhub Preschool

We are thrilled to pilot Wonderhub Preschool, an engaging, play-based learning program designed specifically for children aged 3 to 5.

Nutrien Wonderhub provides a perfect venue for a child-led and play based learning preschool program. While at Wonderhub Preschool, children will explore our hands-on exhibits, participate in outdoor play and exploration, participate in play-based literacy and numeracy activities, and have opportunities to dive into STEAM learning with our preschool leaders.

At Wonderhub Preschool, we are committed to creating a safe and inclusive space for all children. We value diverse perspectives and experiences. We believe that children are natural explorers and learners, driven by their innate curiosity and creativity. Our philosophy centers around child-led and play-based learning, where children are seen as capable, and each child’s interests and questions are valued and explored. By fostering an environment that is flexible and responsive, we encourage children to embrace discovery and inquiry through play. Our goal is to cultivate each child’s curiosity and sense of wonder, fostering a love of learning. We believe play is an essential component of a preschool program, serving as a foundation for critical thinking, problem solving, and social skill development. Using the museum as our classroom, our program will prioritize learning through play to develop these essential skills.   

Preschool Hours & Dates:

Our preschool follows the Saskatoon Public School Division Calendar. 

• Monday, Wednesday, Friday Cohort (ages 3-4) 
  Preschool hours: 9:00 – 11:15 AM
  Dates: January 6 – June 27, 2025  No program on:  January 27, February 17-21, March 10, March 28, April 18-25, May 19, June 6, 2025 
• Tuesday, Thursday Cohort (ages 3-5)
  Preschool hours: 9:00 – 11:15 AM
  Dates: January 7 – June 26, 2025  No program on: February 17-21, April 18-25, 2025 

Pick-up and drop-off is 8:50 – 9:05 AM and 11:10 – 11:25 AM.

What age can children start at Wonderhub Preschool?

Children must be age 3 by the Preschool Start date of January 6th, 2025. If a child turns 3 during January-June 2025, they may contact Wonderhub Preschool about joining a waitlist. If a spot opens up following their birthday, they may join once they are 3 years of age.

How much does it cost?

Once your application is accepted, Wonderhub Preschool will contact you to confirm acceptance and provide payment. To secure your place, a non-refundable registration fee and January’s tuition is required for a deposit. After this, monthly tuition fees will be payable during the first week of the month. Payment contracts will outline details of notice periods for cancellation and late payment fees.  

• Monday/Wednesday/Friday (Applications for January 2025 intake now closed) – Registration fee is $150. This fee is due upon registration and is non-refundable. Monthly tuition fees are $300 per month. One month’s tuition is required to confirm your registration.
• Tuesday/Thursday (Applications for January 2025 intake now closed) – Registration fee is $150. Monthly tuition fees are $200 per month. One month’s tuition is required to confirm your registration.

Monthly fees are set based on the average number of classes per month and remain standard for each month of the preschool term (January-June 2025) regardless of days off for Stat or school holidays.
