This week: Welcome the fall season with this fun STEAM Activity: Come drop in with your little ones and get creative with nature as we design and make our very own fall leaf wreaths, perfect to take home and enjoy all season long.
As we create, we’ll chat about the science behind changing leaves: why they turn red, yellow and orange as the seasons change. Children can observe colours, shapes and patterns, make design choices, and experiment with arranging natural materials to create a wreath that is uniquely theirs. A little nature, a little STEM, and lots of creativity!

This week: Explore the amazing world of composting worms. Learn about worm habitat and their anatomy through a magnifying look up, feed them and do a flashlight test. For some extra fun you can bring a clean, recyclable plastic food container (e.g. yogurt tub, berry container with holes poked in) or grab a similar recyclable item from Wonderhub’s Create Space on the day and we can help you prep it with cozy bedding, if you wish to start a wormery – great for composting or just fun! Please wear clothes that can get a little messy, we’ll see you in the dirt!

Join us as we celebrate kindness, helping others, and thinking about the people around us. Children can take part in green shirt day themed crafts and simple activities focused on caring, sharing, and being a helper.
Why Green Shirt Day? Green Shirt Day is held each year on April 7 in honour of Logan Boulet, a Humboldt Broncos player whose decision to register as an organ donor inspired a national movement of kindness and giving.
At Wonderhub, activities are designed to be age-appropriate and focus on:
