Discovery Visits provide a fun and unique way for students and teachers to learn through play, covering a number of Saskatchewan curricular outcomes through a combination of integrated STEAM learning and cultural and social components.

  • Discovery North – Animals
    Get to know about some amazing animals of Northern Saskatchewan through our interactive Discovery North program! Students will discover the interesting ways some forest animals have adapted over time to live in Saskatchewan and then create their own Saskatchewan creature!
  • Construction Contraptions – Shapes
    What is the difference between 2D and 3D shapes? What shapes are better for construction? What happens if a foundation is weak? These construction ideas are explored and then it’s up to you to make your own cool structure!

    Students will explore concepts such as length, height, weight, and capacity using real-world tools like rulers, scales, and measuring cups. Through interactive stations, they’ll compare, sort, and estimate while working with everyday objects.     Through interactive activities and fun experiments, students will explore how different surfaces and forces impact the movement of objects.   • 🌟The Power of Air (Available May 1, 2025) 🌟
    Experience the incredible force of air in action with this hands-on session, featuring Wonderhub’s own hurricane machine! This program explores how air moves, creates pressure, and generates powerful winds.Curriculum Connections: AW2.1

    Magnetic Mayhem is an exciting, hands-on program where students dive into the fascinating world of magnetic forces. Through fun activities and interactive experiments, they’ll explore how magnets work, how static electricity forms, and discover roles magnets play in our daily lives.Curriculum Connections: ME3.1 (a), (d), (e), (f) & ME3.2 (a), (e)

  • 🌟Rocks, Minerals, Fossils (Available May 1, 2025)🌟
    Students will learn about the differences between rocks, minerals, and fossils, then rotate through four discovery stations that dive deeper into each topic. Each station offers a chance to explore, identify, and create, whether sorting rocks by type, investigating mineral properties, or making their own fossil imprints.Curriculum Connections: RM4.1 (a), (c), (k), (l) & RM4.3 (c), (j)

    In this program, students will learn about simple machines—lever, pulley, wheel, inclined plane, screw, and wedge—and how they combine to create complex machines.
