Our Workshop is an enclosed, secure area for more advanced tools and facilitated operations, including 3D printing, laser cutting, drilling, soldering, and sanding. Watch our events page for opportunities to take part in programs held in the workshop!
Our performance hall is the place to host your next private or business function. This versatile space features built-in wireless sound, lighting system, and curtain system to accommodate theatre productions, meetings, or dinners. The capacity is 150 standing or 100 seated. You’ll also find this area busy with activity on free days and during other special museum events!
Located in the Main Gallery, Northern Lights pays tribute to Saskatchewan’s signature skies. Colours cast on the gallery wall are motion-activated, creating a beautiful light show much like the Aurora borealis.
Located in the upper mezzanine, children can send a blast of air across the North Gallery at targets, or fly spaceships with the help of air cannons and hand cranks.
Located on the lower level, this realistic, kid-centric mine environment offers families the opportunity to experience what it’s really like to work as a mining geologist, engineer, mechanic, or machine operator. Once in the main mine room, children can “operate” a rotor borer machine or use conveyors to transfer ore to a lift.
Located on the lower level, Create Space is dedicated to creation and collaboration. Create Space is a project hub, perfect for experimenting with methods and mediums while watching STEAM learning come to life.
Our gift shop features toys, stationery, and learning tools that can help bring the joy of learning through play out of the museum and into your home. If you’re looking for a gift for a child or family, we hope you’ll stop in and invest in curiosity. You can expect to find something unique for all ages. We have launched a new Grab and Go snack station! All proceeds support the ongoing mission of Nutrien Wonderhub. Click here to visit our store online!
Inspired by the bridges of Saskatoon, Little Bridges is a sensory play environment adjacent to the Main Gallery specially designed for children ages 0-36 months. Zoned areas with different age and developmental levels create an immersive experience that encourages sensory exploration and communication.
Located in the Main Gallery, the North Woods and Gathering Place is a cozy, tree-lined space for children, families, classes, and other groups to come together and share stories and experiences.
Located in the North Gallery, Boxes o’ Fun encourages children to experiment with sound, light, and movement. Each box is a stand-alone, walk-in structure: inside you might create a symphony, record a mini-movie, play with textures, or discover the fun and magic of black light.
What goes up must come down! Located in the North Gallery, at Airways children can send colourful scarves and giant poms shooting up more than 20 feet and try to catch them on the way down.
Located in the Main Gallery, Toon Town is an ever-changing townscape and the perfect place for collaborative, imaginative play. Here, kids have full control over the installations: today’s doctor’s office might be tomorrow’s candy shop!
Located in the North Gallery, Cosmic Commotion is a truly tactile experience. Kids can pop up through holes in the climbing structure’s web-like surface, or swing from dangling crocheted “pods.”
Nutrien Wonderhub is honoured to be the only facility in North America with a permanent installation from internationally-acclaimed artist Toshiko Horiuchi MacAdam.
