Fun With Fibres: Knitting 101

Come learn by doing as we have “Fun With Fibres” and explore the art of knitting! This multi-session program will start with the basics in the first session and by the end of the second session, participants will have created a project to take home, even if it’s still a work in progress. This is a great chance to meet new friends and to learn a new skill together.
The first session participants will learn different stitches. They will learn the knit and purl stitches as well as how to combine these two stitches in order to make the garter, stockinette, seed, and rib patterns often used in beginner knitting.
The second session participants will choose one of three projects to work on. They will get to choose from a pot holder, a winter head band, or a scarf.

2 – 2 hour sessions
Basic knitting lessons with one of our Program Facilitators
All materials to practice different stitches
All materials to create final take-home product
AGE
This program is great for participants for ages 8+.
Please proceed to Admissions Desk to have ticket scanned and then go down the lobby stairs to sign in the participant(s).
Nutrien Wonderhub closes to the public at 6:00. We require that parents/guardians are waiting to pick up participants promptly at 6:30 at the front of Nutrien Wonderhub.
